Sydney International Boat Show

Albury, NSW | June 17, 2024 – Malibu Boats Australia, the nation's leading towboat manufacturer, is proud to announce the release of the new 2025 Response TXi water-ski towboat. Continuing the legacy of its predecessors, the TXi ’25 introduces a host of enhancements, offering further refinement in on-water performance and functionality.

The development of the new TXi ‘25 was driven by feedback from the current Response owner base, consultation with expert skiers and insights from operators of the long-standing NSW-based ‘Malibu Series’ tournament 3-Event water-ski competition series.

“The on-water experience for both skier and driver was the priority when developing the new TXi ‘25. I’m incredibly excited to have all types of skiers experience the new TXi” said Noel Gordon, Process & Manufacturing Engineer.

Engineered for professional and recreational skiers, the TXi ‘25 is ideal for water-skiers of all skill levels. The refined T-Cut Diamond Hull offers exceptional performance under competitive conditions, creating ultra-soft and flat wakes that enable skiers at any ability level to easily navigate the course. Its laser-like tracking and precision handling ensure consistent performance in slalom, trick, and jumping at tournament speeds.

The Australian market also values the Response TXi for its versatility on the water. The new TXi ‘25 can be equipped with a Ski Tower featuring ski/wakeboard racks and a Bimini. Additionally, customers can add the proprietary Auto-set Wedge technology by Malibu Boats, which creates a larger wake without the need for additional ballast.

“Our crossover market will love this new TXi ‘25, with extremely clean wakes and waves to enhance skiing, wakeboarding, and foil surfing. Blending luxury, functionality and comfort, the new TXi ‘25 interior has been completely redesigned for Australian families and tournament skiers. The new generation TXI ’25 interior features, a one-piece observer seat, two-piece rear removable seats, new flip-down trick seat, new soft-grip and deck track panelling with Slalom driver course tracking points, interior mounted ski racks, integrated hot water shower, new billet aluminium grab handles, larger 8” wetsounds premium audio speakers, and improved driver’s seat positioning.

The new Response TXi ‘25 will be unveiled to the public at the 2024 Sydney International Boat Show at the Malibu Boats Sydney stand (Stand 212).

The new Response TXi ‘25 is now available to order at all authorised Malibu Boats dealerships.

The new Malibu Monsoon line of engines, the M5Di, M6Di, and the LT4, were developed by Malibu to offer unmatched performance, fuel economy, reliability and sound reduction.

Malibu was able to accomplish this feat by bringing engine production in-house. The engine experts at Malibu worked with industry leaders like GM® Marine, Roush®, Davinci®, and McLaren Engineering® to design and perform the research and development necessary to introduce a line of in-board engines to the towboat industry like no other.

The Monsoon’s custom tailored gear ratios act as torque multipliers to deliver even more power when you need it.
