After the start we’ve had to 2020, summer can’t come quick enough. If your family is anything like ours, we’re keen to get out on the water as soon as we can and make this our best summer ever.
If your summer plans include a new boat, we’ve pulled together 5 tips to help you do your research.
1. When do you want to be on the water?
This is the most important question. The earlier in summer you want to be on the water, the earlier you’ll need to start your research and planning. Depending on your timeframe, this may influence whether you’re in the market for a custom-built boat or keen to take immediate delivery of one of our dealers’ stunning stock boats.
2. Do it for you or do it yourself colours & design?
For many of our Malibu & Axis family the opportunity to choose gel coat and upholstery colour combinations unique to their own tastes is the most exciting part about investing in a brand new boat. Alternatively, choosing colours and designs can be as easy as walking into one of our dealer’s showrooms and choosing from the boats on display. Our gorgeous range of Australian-made showroom boats are individually designed, so you can be assured that your boat will be unique to your family. Your choice of custom-built or pre-built will still result in a boat unique to you. The main consideration when choosing between an in-stock boats or a custom build boat is delivery time.
3. What water sports are you into?
Are you a family that loves to water ski and do some wakeboarding on the side? Or is your water experience all about the size of the wake for popping inverts and spins? Or maybe you’ve joined the wake surfing movement and can’t get enough of riding the endless wave. 4. Always try before you buy.
Not all ski and wake boats are the same. Be sure to water test your short list of boats before you make your final decision. Our recommendation is that you should ALWAYS drive and ride behind a boat before you buy it. Chat to our dealers about getting out on the water.
